About

Transients Engineering Services

Over 20 years of full-stack, multidisciplinary engineering delivered in-house across Uganda — electrical, civil, structural and mechanical, under one accountable team.

One team, from first drawing to final commissioning

Transients Engineering Services began as a small electrical contracting outfit in Kampala and grew, project by project, into a multidisciplinary engineering company trusted on industrial sites across Uganda. From domestic installations we moved into 33 kV powerline construction, transformer and switchgear work, then into the civil, structural and mechanical scopes that those installations inevitably touch.

That growth was deliberate. Rather than sub-contract the disciplines around our core, we built them in-house — electrical, civil and structural, and mechanical — so that the engineers who scope a job also draw it, the crews who build it work to those same drawings, and the team that commissions it owns the result. On the HUSKY 1 line at Coca-Cola Beverages in Namanve, that meant designing the distribution, fabricating the containment and energising the panels without a single sub-contracted hand-off.

Today we deliver complete engineering packages — a 2.4 MWp rooftop array at Kakira Sugar Works, a 33 kV t-off at Masanafu, structural steel at Namanve — with one point of accountability from concept to handover. Single-team delivery is not a slogan for us; it is how the work gets built right the first time.

Why us

What we stand for

Engineering rigour

Every job is built on paper first — load schedules, single-line diagrams, cable sizing and protection coordination — so site crews work to drawings, not guesswork.

Single-team accountability

No sub-contracted hand-offs. The engineers who scope the work draw it, build it and commission it, so one team owns the outcome end to end.

Safety on site

Outage coordination, traffic management and controlled field welding — disciplined methods that protect crews and the public on live, built-up corridors.

On-time handover

We deliver to programme and hand over signed-off: drawings, test sheets and an as-built record, so plant teams inherit a system they can maintain.

Leadership

The engineers accountable for the work

  • Emmanuel Sekamatte

    Managing Director

Sets the single-team delivery model and carries final accountability for every project handed over, from scope to commissioning.

  • Daniel Okello

    Head of Electrical

Leads design and commissioning across LV/MV power, 33 kV line construction, switchgear, APFC and solar PV installations.

  • Grace Namutebi

    Head of Civil & Structural

Owns structural steel, fabrication and civil works, detailing connections to BS EN 1993 before steel reaches site.

Certifications & safety

Built to standard, verified on record

We engineer to recognised international standards and prove it on paper. Structural frames are designed and connections detailed to BS EN 1993; shop and field welds are laid down by coded welders to AWS D1.1 and logged against an inspection register. Electrical installations follow IEC practice, and our site methods are OSHA-aligned — so every handover comes with the test sheets, weld and bolt records and as-built drawings that let a plant team maintain the work with confidence.
